Southwestern Omelet and Buttermilk Bisquits While camping out one of the best parts is cooking the meals.That way you don't have to do the dishes,unless you are alone that is.In my 12" Dutch Oven I shall prepare a meal for you all. The meal consists of Beans,Pork Chops,Bisquits,Omelet Just keep reading down the list.and watch the videos. The ingredients will be; 1 small,minced jalapeno pepper 1 chopped onion 1 tablespoon oil 1 ripe avacado,chopped 1 tomato chopped 10 strip of bacon,fried and chopped 1 cup shredded cheese 8 eggs beaten with a 1/4 cup milk 1/2 cup salsa salt and pepper,your choice Over a full bed of coals,saute onion jalapena in oil in your dutch oven until tender.Remove the onions and pepper from the oil.Pour the beaten eggs into the oven and cook covered for 5 minutes.Combine avacado,onions and pepper,tomato,bacon and half the cheese.Spread over the eggs and fold over.Sprinkle remaining cheese over the top.Cut in slices and serve with salsa and rolls or tortillas. Butter milk Bisquit Recipe 1/2 cup butter 2-1/2 tabespoons granulated sugar 1 beaten egg 3/4 cup club soda 1 teaspoon salt 5 cups bisquick 1/4 cup melted butter Grease a 12 inch dutch oven with 8 coals on the bottom 17 coals on the lid.Combine all ingredients.Knead the dough by hand until smooth.Flour your hands.Pat the dough flat until3/4 inches thick on waxed paper and bisquits with a cutter.Place the bisquits in the dutch oven and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.Brush the bisquits the melted butter and enjoy....
